Three major business groups are planning to set up a joint organization to support the successful holding of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, sources said Thursday.
 
The three are the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Japan Association of Corporate Executives (Keizai Doyukai).
 
The planned organization will handle financial support for the games and consider how to use Olympic facilities after the event, the sources said.
 
It will be made up of dozens of members, including officials of companies which have served as sponsors for the International Olympic Committee and the Japanese Olympic Committee, the sources said, adding that the work to select members is in the final stage.
