JAPAN TODAY
TOKYO — Roppongi Hills in Tokyo will host Halloween events from October 16 to 31. This year, the event’s signature Roppongi Hills Halloween Parade will feature participants wearing the costumes of famous movie characters, as the timing will coincide with the Tokyo
International Film Festival.
Roppongi Hills Halloween Parade (10:00 ~ 13:30, Saturday, October 31)
Every year, over 3,000 people join this popular Halloween Parade, one of Tokyo’s largest. Participants will all dress up as famous movie characters to march in the parade. The one-kilometer route will start at Roppongi Hills Arena and move along Roppongi Keyaki-zaka. Participating children will receive snacks after the parade. If you wish to join, please register at Roppongi Hills Arena between 10:00 and 13:00 on the day of the parade.
Halloween Costume Corner
For children who want to participate in the parade on the day but do not have a costume, there will be a designated area at Roppongi Hills Arena where they can enjoy making their own Halloween costume. The area will be open from 10 a.m. onwards and will cost 500 yen for kids and 300 yen for babies (to cover materials). There will be a limit of 50 participants.
Various other activities are scheduled throughout Roppongi Hills for Halloween, including Halloween-themed workshops, a stamp rally, Halloween-designed food, and more.
