▼ Japan Caps Prices On Russian Oil Products

Japan is joining with other nations to further pressure Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine. Officials have put price caps on Russian oil products following similar steps by other Group of Seven nations, the European Union and Australia.
Diesel fuel and other products will be capped at 100 dollars per barrel. Products including heavy oil will be capped at 45 dollars per barrel. The measures take effect from Monday.
Japan's trade ministry says the impact on the country's supply will likely be limited. It has not imported Russian oil products since the start of the Ukraine invasion.
