- Category:Other
Fujitsu Ltd. has teamed up with U.S. artificial intelligence startup Anthropic PBC to provide high-level AI services for corporate and other clients, according to Fujitsu.
Under the agreement formed Wednesday, Fujitsu will integrate Anthropic’s cutting-edge AI technology with its own ability to build systems to meet clients’ needs.
Fujitsu dispatches engineers to client companies and other entities and provides AI services to support problem-solving.
By leveraging Claude, Anthropic’s generative AI tool, Fujitsu aims to shorten the development cycle forintroducing advanced features in its AI services.
Fujitsu aims to improve productivity in development by having its entire group workforce of about 100,000 use Claude in their work. The firm and Anthropic will also partner on cyber defense efforts in such fields as public administration, finance and defense.
Fujitsu did not disclose whether the partnership includes use of Claude Mythos, an Anthropic AI model that is said to be extremely adept at identifying system vulnerabilities.
Anthropic is rapidly building relationships with Japanese companies, and has already formed alliances with NEC Corp. and Hitachi Ltd.
Also on Wednesday, Fujitsu announced it will collaborate with the U.S.-based OpenAI, creator of ChatGPT. Under the partnership, the firms plan to develop services tailored to specific industries, particularly in manufacturing and pharmaceuticals.
