Uniqlo Unveils Renovated Ginza Flagship

  • Category:Shopping
Casual clothing retailer Uniqlo Co. unveiled to the press on Wednesday its renovated global flagship store in Tokyo’s upscale Ginza district, ahead of its opening on Friday.

The store, one of Uniqlo’s largest domestic outlets, has a museum-like display space on each floor.

It is the clothing chain’s first outlet at home or abroad to have a salon for women’s underwear to allow customers to find the optimum such clothing for them through consultations with expert staff.

The store has a salon for suits on another floor, as well as a cafe and a flower shop.

It will also sell T-shirts and tote bags designed in collaboration with established shops in Ginza, including stationery retailer Itoya.

Uniqlo opened its Ginza outlet in March 2012. The store was once bustling with foreign visitors to Japan, but faced a plunge in customer traffic due to the spread of the novel coronavirus.
