▼ Honda To Roll Out Electric Scooter For Delivery Services

Honda Motor Co. said Thursday that it will start selling a new three-wheeled electric scooter with a roof for corporate users on Friday.
The automaker hopes that the Gyro Canopy e: scooter will appeal to delivery service providers enjoying strong demand from people staying home amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The scooter can travel 77 kilometers on a single charge, about 20% longer than existing models.
It is powered by detachable, replaceable batteries that can be used also for other Honda electric scooters.
The suggested retail price of the new scooter is ¥715,000. Honda aims to sell 1,000 units a year.
Honda plans to increase the share of electric models in its motorcycle sales as the industry faces the need to electrify mobility systems toward the goal of realizing a decarbonized society.
