Verizon Business And Mitsui Bussan Secure Directions Team Up To Secure Japanese Organizations

TOKYO – As businesses in Japan continue to expand their global footprint, Verizon Business and Mitsui Bussan Secure Directions, Inc. (MBSD) have joined forces to help Japanese businesses mitigate against the rising threat of cybercrime.

Both companies will jointly offer a range of managed security services, including threat intelligence monitoring tools, incident management platforms and 24/7 global incident response and forensics services, targeted at a growing number Japanese businesses with multiple locations across the globe.

Both companies have seen a significant surge in the demand for security services in recent months as the country prepares for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympic Games in July and August respectively.

This has been heightened by a global rise in the number of C-level executives proactively targeted by social breaches with financial motivation, according to the Verizon 2019 Data Breach Investigations Report.

Verizon delivers global managed security solutions, combining intelligence and analytics, including advanced security operations and managed threat protection services, threat intel and response service and forensics investigations and identity management.

Verizon processes over 61 billion security events every year through its 9 Security Operations Centers, six forensics labs and one of the largest IP networks in the world.
