Tempozan Ferris Wheel in Osaka's Tempozan Harbor Village region is a popular tourist attraction. Tempozan Ferris wheel has a diameter of 100 metres.
Tempozan Ferris Wheel is one of the world's largest Ferris Wheels. Tempozan Ferris Wheel is part of the Tempozan Harbor Village complex located in the Osaka Bay Area. Tempozan is located in the ward of Minato in Osaka, Japan, in the redeveloped Osaka Bay Area. Tempozan was redeveloped in the 1990's and now features some of major Osaka attractions.
Sitting by Osaka Bay, Tempozan Giant Ferris Wheel is formerly the biggest, tallest and most technologically advanced observation wheel in the world (now surpassed by the even more massive British Airways London Eye).
During the 15 minutes trip up in the air, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the sea, the mountains, and the entire city of Osaka as well as Akashi Ohashi Bridge, Mt Rokko. The night view with illumination is so romantic that this Ferris wheel is a very famous date spot. This illumination is like fireworks in the sky.
Tempozan Attractions:
- Osaka Aquarioum is one of the largest aquariums in the world. Osaka Aquarium features the display of two whale sharks.
- Tempozan Ferris wheel is one of the world's largest ferris wheels at 100m diameter.

- Suntory Museum is a cultural complex featuring a Gallery and an IMAX Theater. Suntory Museum has a distinct architectural design.
The main attractions of Tempozan are located five minutes' walk from Osakako Station on the Osaka Municipal Subway Chūō Line. There is also a ferry which travels between Tempozan and Universal Studios Japan. The ferry operates at 15 minute intervals. The dock is located between Osaka Aquarium and suntory Museum.
Tempozan Marketplace
Adjacent to the Tempozan Ferris Wheel, Tempozan Marketplace consists of shops, restaurants, amusement facilities and live concert/event halls. Inside the Marketplace is a gourmet theme park called Naniwa Kuishimbo Yokocho, an eatery park which brings together in a single venue a wide range of restaurants offering 'takoyaki', 'okonomiyaki' and other Osaka foods.
