A Special Exhibition At Wakayama's Kawahisa Museum

For a limited time, Wakayama's Kawahisa Museum will be showcasing an exhibition of ceramic works from Kishu Aoi Kiln.

More than 50 kishuyaki works will be exhibited at the event, and some of them will also be available for purchase.

Kishuyaki is a general term that refers to ceramics made within the Kishu domain, which encompasses areas of present-day Wakayama and southern Mie prefectures. Kishu Aoi Kiln mainly produces tea ware, but they also manufacture vases, tableware for everyday use, and other items suitable for gifting.

Adult admission to the museum is priced at 1000 yen.
 

Getting there


Via Public Transport:
Wakayama's Kawahisa Museum can be accessed in under 10 minutes by taxi from Shirahama Station, which is served by the Kisei Main Line.

Via Private Vehicle:
For those who opt to drive, the venue is under 15 minutes from the Nanki-Shirahama IC on the Kisei Expressway. There is a dedicated parking lot for museum patrons on-site.
