Sanrio’s Pompompurin character may not be as famous and popular as Hello Kitty but the loveable yellow pooch continues his attempts to conquer Japan.

 

After tempting commuters to hug columns in stations in Tokyo, now comes news that Pompompurin is getting his own cafe in Nagoya from November 23rd.

 

The cute golden retriever has inspired both the decor and menu at the Pompompurin Cafe is decked out in the colors and styles of the pudding-loving dog.

There are already Pompompurin Cafe locations in Umeda (Osaka), Harajuku (Tokyo) and Yokohama.

 

The exact menu varies somewhat from cafe to cafe, but all are cooked in Pompompurin designs or served in dishes in the shape of Pompompurin. The Nagoya cafe also includes a special Pompompurin cup that you can take home with you.
