Belgian Brasserie Court arrives in Akasaka
Belgian Brasserie Court adds a 7th location to their expanding chain across Tokyo and Osaka, with Antwerp Port becoming the latest opening in Japan’s capital – over at the newly renovated Akasaka Intercity Air.
Antwerp Port recreates that retro-modern feel of a Belgian 'grand café' beer pub in the heart of Tokyo – complete with iconic Belgian draught beers on tap and authentic Belgian tapas fare.
The Belgian beer line-up is as impressive as the accompanying glassware
– with the wide range of tulips, goblets, chalices and even hourglass- and horn-shaped glasses are well-known for bringing out the characteristics and aroma of each particular beer they are designed for (oh and then there are the individual beer mats).
Antwerp Port is serious about beer, with the draught beer line-up—including Stella Artois, Primus, Hoegaarden, Leffe, Chimay and St.

Feuillien—ticking all the boxes for beer aficionados and served at 3 different temperatures to bring out the aroma particular to each brew. Ordering a Stella Artois allows you to witness a rigorous 9-step pouring ritual, with staff member Ishida-san a Stella Artois Draught Master at regional and global events.
It doesn't stop at ten beers on tap either: an impressive range of bottled beers are also available, including many unique and rare offerings made for sharing, such as the lambic-style Lindemans Spontan Basil—a blend of 1-3 year old lambic fermented on oak then combined with basil leaves—as well as other special blends on the menu.
More of dedicated drinking hole than gastropub, Antwerp Port still offers a food menu.
The eats are primarily tapas fare, with a big focus on that classic Belgian snack – frites with mayo. But a hamper stocked full of European-style canned dishes and beer sides including Pâté, sardines and more is also available.
