The Brand's First Foray Into The Hokuriku Region

Many international hotel chains have a presence in Japan, and a newly opened branch of the Doubletree by Hilton in Toyama is the company's first foray into the Hokuriku region.

Opened on January 18th, 2023, the hotel is the latest offering by the group that boasts an impressive 640 hotels in 51 countries and territories.

Part of the appeal of the Doubletree by Hilton Toyama is its location – it has great proximity to some of the city's best attractions including the Toyama Castle Park, Toyama City Glas Museum, and the Fugan Canal Kansui Park.

The latter is a popular spot for cherry blossom viewing during spring, and is also home to one of the world's most photogenic Starbucks stores for those in need of a caffeine fix.

The hotel offers 201 rooms in five different types, including standard guest rooms and larger suites. They also have rooms to accommodate families, which is convenient if you're traveling in a group.

As for dining options, there are several of those to choose from as well. Korare Wine & Dine serves up breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner options, with fresh seafood caught in Toyama Bay and beef from the prefecture recommended as standouts.

Adjacent to Korare Wine & Dine you'll find Korare Bar, where you can choose from 20 different types of wine by the glass, original cocktails, and light meals such as pasta and hamburgers made with local ingredients.

If time is of the essence, Grab'n'go Coffee & Deli is a take-out shop located right next to the hotel entrance. Their menu includes a variety of ready to-go soups, sandwiches, muffins, and coffee, which is handy for business travelers or those with jam-packed leisure itineraries.
