Taiga is the ramen shop in Asakusa you should visit when you are very hungry, tired, and need "chicken soup for your soul". The chicken soup that makes up the base for the ramen and tsukemen here is that good.

Choose from the ramen or tsukemen menu and decide how many noodles you would like. The big portion in the picture is actually just the regular portion here. There is also big and extra big. Extra big is a mountain of 900g of noodles. If you order ramen, drink the soup as it is. And if you order the tsukemen, order extra soup from the chef after you finish your noodles. Then you can drink all that tasty soup. Without the extra "oyu-wari" broth, the dipping soup for the tsukemen is a little bit too thick by itself.

An English menu is available and the staff is helpful, but unless you hate chicken soup all the ramen and tsukemen dishes here are very tasty. So don't worry about what to order. We have been here several time and were always happy with our choice.
