Japan to recruit Bangladeshi technical interns

Japan requires 2,300 technical interns annually, says Kazuo Tusubota, MD of International Manpower Development Organization (IMDO) of Japan
 
Japan has expressed its keen interest to recruit technical interns from Bangladeshi, Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Engineer Khandker Mosharraf Hossain has said.
 
The minister made the disclosure while talking to journalists after a meeting with Managing Director of International Manpower Development Organization (IMDO) of Japan Kazuo Tusubota at his ministry on Monday, reports BSS.
 
"We will be able to send technical interns along with skilled workers to Japan as per requirement," said Mosharraf.
 
During the meeting Kazuo Tusubota said Japan requires 2,300 technical interns annually, adding, "Bangladesh will be given priority as regards recruiting technical interns."
 
He expressed his keen interest to recruit technical interns from Bangladesh, which was usually recruited from other countries.
 
The minister said Bangladesh is imparting training to workers on 47-trade, with maintaining five Marine Technical Training Institute and 71 Technical Training Centres across the country.
 
They also discussed various issues elaborately specially overseas worker's recruitment issue, Engineer Mosharraf added.
 
Secretary of the ministry Dr Khandker Shawkat Hossain, director general of Bangladesh Manpower and Employment Training Begum Shamsun Nahar, Deputy managing Director of IMDO Kunika Yoshida and officials concerned were present at the meeting.
