ANA to Enable Passengers to Redeem Upgrade Points and Miles in Premium Economy

TOKYO - All Nippon Airways (ANA) is rolling out changes to its Premium Economy. Starting from April 1, 2019, traveling period, ANA will enable ANA Mileage Club members to reserve seats in Premium Economy with ANA award tickets. Furthermore, ANA will allow members to upgrade from Economy Class to Premium Economy by using ANA mileage and upgrade points as of April 1, 2020, traveling period.

Currently, ANA Mileage Club members are only able to use the award tickets to fly First Class, Business Class and Economy Class. Members are also only able to upgrade to First Class and Business Class using mileage and upgrade points.

ANA now has Premium Economy seats on 59 aircraft flying to 30 routes and the customer's demand to book award reservations and upgrade to Premium Economy has been on the rise. Providing members these additional options will allow them to further customize their itineraries.

"Our vision for air travel revolves around consumer satisfaction, and we aim to continue taking steps to make flying with ANA as effortless as possible."

By increasing available award booking and upgrade options, ANA said it hopes to continue setting the global standard for customer service and in-flight convenience.
