Japan's Tallest Building Abeno Harukas Celebrates 5 Mil Visitors

  • Category:Other
OSAKA — The number of visitors to the observation deck of Abeno Harukas, the tallest skyscraper in Japan, has surpassed 5 million, thanks to increased foreign tourists, the operator of the building said.

The milestone was reached on Friday, about two years and three months after the 300-meter-tall building in Osaka was opened by Kintetsu Corp in March 2014. Visitor numbers hit 1 million in July 2014 and 3 million in May 2015.

Visitors are able to see as far as Kyoto and Kobe from the Harukas 300 observation deck, which is the second highest in Japan after Tokyo Skytree’s deck, located at a height of around 450 meters.
