Japan's three largest mobile phone carriers said Sept. 10 that they will start sales of Apple Inc.'s new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on Sept. 19.

The new, thinner models come with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch Retina HD displays and include innovative technologies.
Both models use iOS 8, which is the world's most advanced mobile operating system, according to Apple.
 
iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus also include Apple Pay, which allows users to securely pay for goods and services.
