▼ Power Supply Warning Ends For Tokyo Region
- Category:Event
The Japanese government has announced the lifting of its power supply warning for the Tokyo region as of 11:00 a.m. Wednesday.
The alert had been in place in areas served by the Tokyo Electric Power Company, or TEPCO, since Monday night.
Government officials say they now expect stable supply to be restored, as requests to conserve power have resulted in lower demand.
Officials are still asking people to use electricity efficiently because some power plants remain suspended following a strong earthquake on March 16.
